Choosing Your Pine Bases
Newel bases (also known as base posts) are the essential structural anchors that sit over your floor joists or stair strings, providing a secure housing for your turned or square newel posts. We offer standard 90mm bases for the majority of our Pine posts, as well as 83mm profiles specifically designed to accommodate our Georgian range.
Crafted from solid Pine, these bases offer excellent strength and durability, and are supplied unfinished so you can easily paint, stain, or varnish them to perfectly match the rest of your staircase.
